The first ever Carnatic Philharmonic Ensemble - March 11th, 2017

“Philharmonic” comes from Greek words meaning ‘love of harmony’ and is synonymous to the word, symphony. A symphony is a large orchestra of musicians who play together on various western instruments, usually including strings, woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion instruments.

Fine Arts Association of Arizona is excited to put together the first ever Carnatic Philharmonic Ensemble comprised of talented adults, children and students from the valley. This ensemble will be presented by FAAA as a full-fledged concert.

Conceptualized by Musician & Educator Vidwan V.V.S.Murari, CPO shall feature more than 70 talented, valley musicians on stage. The uniqueness of this production; in addition to presenting young North American talent from the Classical South Indian music perspective, will also be showcasing our young talents on the Western music side of the spectrum.

March 11th, 2017 (Saturday)
6:00 pm
Virginia Piper Theater, Mesa Arts Center

We welcome all to attend the program and encourage the valley artists. ADMISSION IS FREE WITH EVENT PASSES. We however request you (including FAAA members) to get event passes to attend the event. Event Passes are sold out.
